We are led by a team of experienced professionals from various backgrounds including Engineering, Geology and Mining, each of whom bring notable expertise and years of experience to our organisation. Our team has a combined experience of over 20 years.
Kholofelo Pila
CEO
Kholofelo Pila was born in Ga-Pila in the Mokopane region and attended the Tshwane University of Technology where he studied for a diploma in Mechanical and Electrical engineering. Kholofelo also acquired a postgraduate diploma in Management practice from Henley Business school in 2017. He also
obtained a Government Certificate of Competency for factories in 2009. Kholofelo began his working career
with a world renowned steel maker in Witbank, Emalahleni, where he developed a passion for asset
care, hydraulics and plant maintenance. He cemented his skills and know-how in the ferrous and non-ferrous manufacturing environment where he worked for the biggest steel manufacturer in South Africa - ArcelorMittal and also at the later stage a Brass foundry and ammunition producer, Denel PMP. The biggest focus in his life has been excellence: excellence in how one executes one’s mandate and excellence with regard to the calibre of solutions and interventions one produces. Kholofelo believes in
leading by example and walking a mile in a customer’s shoes while tailor-making unique offerings to cater for their needs.
Bongani Mdingi
Director
Bongani Mdingi is a seasoned Geologist who obtained his B.Sc. ( Geology & Physics, 1995) from the University of the Western Cape, Western Province & completed his Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mining, Mineral Economics, 2002) at the Witwatersrand University, RSA. He undertook training on all heavy and secondary equipment at Sishen Iron Ore Mine and also obtained a Blasting Certificate. The course of his career has seen him work as a Geotechnician, a Mine Geologist, a Geologist, a Mining Quarry Superintendent, Pit Geologist and Pit Chief Geologist. Bongani’s decades of experience in Geology across the South African landscape bring great value to the Bana Ba Mabu team and contribute greatly to our rich human capital.
Reuben Mampuru
Director
Reuben is an Environmental/ Mining Geologist with 17 years working experience in the mining, mineral exploration, groundwater and environmental sector/ fields. He obtained a B-Tech in Geology at the Tshwane University of Technology and a National Diploma in Geology at Technikon Pretoria. He has worked as a Geohydrologist, Project Geologist/ Manager, Resource Geologist, Manager of Exploration and Production (Geology) and Head of Technical Services. He is a registered Professional Natural Scientist (Earth Science) whose expertise has benefitted clients in African countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, DRC and Gabon.
